An 89,000-square-foot retail center near Joint Base Lewis McChord traded Tuesday for $10 million.
SimonCRE, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based commercial real estate investment and development firm, is the buyer of Spanaway Plaza.
The seller was Goodwill Industries of Tacoma, which has owned the center at 14918 Pacific Ave. S. for decades.
SimonCRE is planning to update the existing structure and bring in more national tenants, the company said in a news release.
“This project represents an exciting opportunity to infuse new energy into the community while driving meaningful economic development,” Andrew Veatch, Director of Acquisitions and Leasing at SimonCRE, said in a news release. “We are committed to creating a retail destination that truly aligns with the needs and aspirations of the community.”
