Chubbuck’s mall will soon be redeveloped from an enclosed mall to an open-air retail center. While the revitalization will bring in new retailers, many current businesses in the mall will also retain their retail space. The changes were announced after SimonCRE, a commercial real estate development and acquisition firm, closed on the purchase of the shopping center on May 17 with plans for a “major” reworking of the 2,550,872 square feet property (about 58 acres).   “The Pine Ridge Mall has been a major anchor for the community of Chubbuck, and we want to honor that longstanding history with this redevelopment. Our goal is to revitalize this area by bringing in retailers that residents have been requesting, and ultimately support this community as it continues to grow and thrive,” said Joshua Simon, founder and CEO of SimonCRE in a news release.   [>>READ MORE<<](https://www.eastidahonews.com/2024/05/pine-ridge-mall-to-add-kohls-to-shopping-space-and-undergo-major-redevelopment/) [Press Release](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/press-release) [Redevelopment](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/redevelopment) [Commercial Real Estate Development](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/commercial-real-estate-development) [Real Estate Developers](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/real-estate-developers) [Mall](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/mall) [East Idaho News](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/topic/east-idaho-news) ### Related Posts Check out our latest news & views to help keep you informed June 29, 2026 [Village at Prasada Eyes Growth in Newest..](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/village-at-prasada-eyes-growth-in-newest-phase-plus-residential-component) [read more](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/village-at-prasada-eyes-growth-in-newest-phase-plus-residential-component) June 19, 2026 [Southwest Phoenix Shoppers, Harkins is Out,..](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/southwest-phoenix-shoppers-harkins-is-out-target-is-in) [read more](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/southwest-phoenix-shoppers-harkins-is-out-target-is-in) June 16, 2026 [Shopping Center Trades Hands as West Valley..](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/shopping-center-trades-hands-as-west-valley-retail-corridor-grows) [read more](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/shopping-center-trades-hands-as-west-valley-retail-corridor-grows) June 2, 2026 [Target-Anchored Retail Project Marks City's..](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/target-anchored-retail-project-marks-citys-largest-development-in-20-years) [read more](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/target-anchored-retail-project-marks-citys-largest-development-in-20-years) May 28, 2026 [What the 60+ Acre 'Medina Station' Development..](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/what-the-60-acre-medina-station-development-will-bring-to-mesa) [read more](https://blog.simoncre.com/news/what-the-60-acre-medina-station-development-will-bring-to-mesa) KEYWORD - There are no suggestions because the search field is empty.
