Commercial real estate developer SimonCRE, with today’s purchase of an almost one acre property in Laredo, TX, adds to the portfolio its 15th investment property of 2014.

The newest addition houses a freestanding EZPawn retail store, which is located on Guadalupe Street, a main thoroughfare off of Interstate 35. This is the first Laredo investment for SimonCRE and they have no current development plans for the location.

“Laredo is a growing city with a significant boost in population year after year,” say Joshua Simon, president of SimonCRE. “This is a long term investment for us as we look forward to working on more projects with the City of Laredo. We are particularly excited to work with EZCorp once again through one of their EZPawn stores. As this particular retail location continues to assist in bridging the financial gap for their customers, we will strive to create and maintain excellent facilities.”

This is the 15th commercial property in which SimonCRE has invested this year. As a national development firm, the organization has completed transactions from California to Florida and Michigan to Texas. The majority of the activity for the firm this year has been ground up development or build to suit projects. The firm has also purchased and redeveloped multiple shopping centers.
