New Development Coming to Central California

Announced today, SimonCRE has plans to construct a freestanding Dollar General store in the Lake Isabella tourist community of Mountain Mesa, CA.

The new development encompasses approximately one acre of land along State Route 178 known locally as Mountain Mesa Road. When complete, the new building will be 9,100 square feet with an expansive parking lot. Construction will be completed later this year with the store planned to open in the fall.

Specializing in build-to-suit construction, Joshua Simon, president of SimonCRE, oversees every aspect of the development, quarterbacking the construction process in Mountain Mesa. This process begins with land acquisition negotiations, site surveys and necessary access from the local decision makers. Once the preliminary steps are completed with the sale recorded, construction begins. As land prep and excavation take time, it is up to a few weeks before the vertical structure is noticeable to the general public. The entire process is managed effectively to ensure that a quality building is delivered on time.

A national retail developer, this is the fourth Dollar General project for SimonCRE within the state of California this year. The previous projects are in the surrounding area of Mountain Mesa including Inyokern, Wofford Heights and Reedley.

“The new retail addition to the Mountain Mesa area will be an asset to the community,” says Simon as the construction process gets underway. “Adding a general merchandise store not only offers convenience to those that work and play here, but gives a value option for national consumer goods. Plus the addition of this store will add employment opportunities to the area, not solely during construction, but on a permanent basis within the retail store once it opens this fall.”
