Commercial real estate development firm SimonCRE is purchasing a parcel of land in Festus, MO, with plans to develop a Verizon Wireless retail store.
The new retailer will be located off interstate 55 and state highway 21A and will share the north end of the parking lot with the existing Home Depot and Schnucks. The site is just under one-half acre and will house a 2,400 square foot facility. Construction is slated to begin in January with the retail store expected to be complete and open to the public in mid 2015.
An expert with ground-up development like the Festus store, Joshua Simon, president of SimonCRE, will oversee all aspects of the project from initial conversations with city planners, to ensuring the building is delivered on time and to exacting quality standards. Having completed several similar Verizon Wireless retail stores throughout the country, Simon and his team understand the foundational details necessary for Verizon to have a positive impact in the area.
“The community of Festus is in need of more convenient retailers to serve its growing population,” says Simon on the new project. “The addition of this Verizon Wireless store will add a level of ease to shoppers in the already high traffic retail area. To bring this to market quickly, there has been a significant amount of planning that has gone into this new store. As long as the weather holds, we will begin construction and break ground right after the holidays. Our goal is to have this new location fully serving the community by mid year.”
Currently in Festus, Verizon Wireless services are only available through partner retailers, including RadioShack and Walmart. The addition of this freestanding store will give greater visibility and convenient customer service to the community.
