Good news for West Valley craft beer fans: A location of O.H.S.O. Brewery is coming to Surprise.
O.H.S.O. currently has locations all over metro Phoenix, with restaurants in Arcadia, Gilbert, Paradise Valley and Scottsdale. But the new brewery will be the first location west of Central Phoenix.
Slated to open at the Village at Prasada, a new development being brought to life by Scottsdale developer SimonCRE, the center will be located near Loop 303 and Waddell Road.
So far, other announced tenants include Marshalls, Total Wine, Barrio Queen, Burros & Fries, Five Below, Homegoods, PetSmart, TJ MAXX and Ulta Salon, according to the developer's website.
"O.H.S.O. is really popular out here on the east and north side, so we are trying to serve the folks out on the west side," said Nava Singam, a partner at the new location.
What to expect at the new Surprise O.H.S.O.
While there will be no active beer brewing at the Surprise location, Singam said he hopes to "create the same synergy in the new space" as the existing O.H.S.O. locations through the design and ample outdoor seating.
The building will be 5,000 square feet with an additional 3,000 square foot patio. When asked if it will be dog friendly, Singam said, of course, with a laugh. "It has to be, right?"
O.H.S.O. in Surprise will have at least 12 taps, but possibly as many as 20, depending on the final design.
Singam hopes to open O.H.S.O. in Surprise in late 2022 or early 2023.
