A new developer is spearheading the transformation of more than 60 acres of east Mesa land into a new shopping center to be anchored by a Target store.

New pre-submittal documents were filed Sept. 5 to the city of Mesa for Medina Station, which will be a 64.5-acre mixed-use center on the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Signal Butte Road, just to the north of U.S. Highway 60.

Scottsdale-based SimonCRE has been brought on to lead the retail development of Medina Station.
