In an effort to build affinity for Sun Devil Athletics and cultivate philanthropic giving among a younger demographic, the Sun Devil Club is proud to announce the formation of the Sun Devil Club Young Professionals.

“The Sun Devil Club Young Professionals are passionate supporters of Arizona State University and its athletic programs,” said Tyler Sublette, chair of the Sun Devil Club Young Professionals. “We believe success within Sun Devil Athletics will help make a seamless transition from student, to alumnus, and onto donor.”

The group, ages 21-40, has the opportunity to network, grow as professionals, and develop new and creative programs intended to increase membership, excitement, and support for Sun Devil Club and Sun Devil Athletics.

"It's exciting to witness the passion for Sun Devil Athletics that the SDC Young Professional group displays,” said Sun Devil Club board member David Reich. “I look forward to seeing them help lead the effort to take our program to the next level and am extremely heartened that so many of our outstanding alumni have decided to personally ‘Be the Solution’."

In addition to serving as an outlet for younger and impassioned fans of Sun Devil Athletics, the group is also responsible for referring future members to the Sun Devil Club and collectively raising money to fund Sun Devil Athletics General Scholarship fund. The group has set a goal for the 2013-14 season of $100,000.

“The Sun Devil Club created the Young Professionals group to foster interest in philanthropy and the ability to affect change in a younger generation,” said Gabe Cagwin, Associate Athletic Director for the Sun Devil Club. “The enthusiasm and breadth of knowledge this group possesses is invigorating and ensures the future of the Sun Devil Club and its board of directors are in very good hands.”

The group has also been tasked to throw an end of the year fête that celebrates the accomplishments of Sun Devil Athletics and its student athletes. This party, which will deviate from a traditional dinner, will usher in a more modern approach to event hosting and serve as the premiere gathering for Sun Devil Club supporters to celebrate the achievements of Arizona State’s student-athletes.

Added Sublette, “As a group, we look to make a large contribution to the future of Sun Devil Athletics by utilizing one of the largest alumni networks in the country to raise funds and "Speak Victory" in the community.”
