Commercial real estate developer SimonCRE recently named Blake Curtis as Director of Capital Markets & Dispositions. 

This new position is intended to strengthen the company’s ability to develop relationships with equity partners & financial institutions.

Prior to joining SimonCRE, Curtis served as Senior Analyst at VEREIT, Inc. During his tenure at the firm, Curtis led the disposition of 85 individual retail, restaurant, & industrial transactions totaling $285 million, equating to over 100 million square feet. In addition, Blake played an integral role in the origination of $495 million in retail acquisitions for VEREIT totaling 1.2 million square feet in 2015.

In his new role, Curtis will be leveraging relationships with institutional and accredited investors to secure growth capital for the company. He will be responsible for all financing of the company’s new investments while managing the current pipeline of assets.

Curtis is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Law. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders in Real Estate Group.
